Where to use
Recommended for use on any properly prepared exterior wood, including decks, fences, siding, railings, outdoor furniture and other wood surfaces. Apply to new, dry, pressure-treated wood, uncoated new or weathered wood, or previously coated wood with a weathered, clear sealant or semi-transparent stain.
Area Preparation: Surface must be dry and clean. Remove all dust, dirt, mildew, oil, loose wood fibers and other contaminants. Previous coatings must be completely removed.
Application: Apply one thin coat with a high quality brush, paint/stain pad or with spray equipment. When applying by roller or spray, always back-brush for best results. To help avoid lap marks, apply to only a few boards at a time, and maintain a wet edge.
Application Temperature: Apply when no precipitation is expected for 24 hours, and when air and surface temperatures are 50°F (10°C) to 90°F (32°C) and will remain above 50°F (10°C) for the next 24 hours. Avoid staining in direct sunlight or on hot surfaces.
Drying Time: Normally dries in 24 hours when applied in optimal temperatures of 50°F (10°C) to 85°F (29°C). Application in high humidity or in temperatures below 50°F (10°C) may prolong drying times. Allow 24 to 48 hours of drying time before light foot traffic or replacing furniture.
Cleanup: Clean brushes and tools with mineral spirits. DANGER – RAGS, STEEL WOOL, OR WASTE SOAKED WITH PARAMOUNT ADVANCED PENETRATING OIL MAY SPONTANEOUSLY CATCH FIRE IF IMPROPERLY DISCARDED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE, PLACE RAGS, STEEL WOOL, OR WASTE IN A SEALED, WATER-FILLED, METAL CONTAINER.
